Software Installation, Support, and Test Engineers and Technicians

SMSi is looking for several Software Installation, Support, and Test Engineers and Technicians to support a range of projects, both internal (joining our Twister Data Framework installation and support team) and external (supporting customer implementation). We have requirements for engineers and technicians experienced with installation, integration, initial startup, operations, and maintenance of software, specifically middleware, applications. Experience working for or supporting DOD or the Intelligence Community is highly desirable.

Requirements Description:

Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:

  • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux
  • Software: Java
  • Scripting Languages: bash, awk, perl, MS bat
  • Servlet Containers: Apache Tomcat
  • Relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Derby

Qualifications:

Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years professional work experience for engineers. Associate Degrees in Engineering Technology or Computer Science and/or additional work experience required for technicians. We have a number of openings requiring different levels of experience.
