Software Engineers

SMSi is looking for several Software Engineers with JAVA/J2EE experience to support a range of projects, both internal (joining our Twister Data Framework development team) and external (supporting customer implementation). Experience working for or supporting DOD or the Intelligence Community is highly desirable.

Requirements Description:

Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:

  • IDE: Netbeans, Eclipse
  • Build Tool: Apache Ant, Maven 2, Continuum, Cruise Control
  • Version Control: CVS
  • Issue Tracker: Jira
  • Testing Frameworks: Junit, DBUnit
  • Servlet Containers: Apache Tomcat
  • Relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Derby
  • Java Web Frameworks: Spring MVC
  • Object-Relational Mapping: Hibernate

Qualifications:

Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years professional work experience. Associate Degrees in Engineering Technology or Computer Science and/or additional work experience can replace the Bachelor’s degree. We have a number of openings requiring different levels of experience.
